100 Things

I read this article not too long ago about people who only have 100 things at home. I wanted to challenge myself to not have more than 100 things in my room... but geez, within sight I'm already over that! Every time I clean my room, like today, I am shocked at how much crap I throw out. I don't even think of myself as a hoarder but it sure seems like it after bags and bags of things go out - to go to trash or donate.

How do you guys keep organized? I've given up many of my shoes, clothes that I haven't worn, little trinkets that I've kept over the years but I seem to still have so much.

i've read many stories about people living on just a little. one that inspired me was http://rowdykittens.com/about/

i thought it was so interesting. people don't realize how weighed down they are with all the nice stuff they have. they have to have a bigger house and garage to hold them all, and to have that, they need to work a lot. i'd rather not have to work and not be rich.

i wish for a simpler life...we just had a yard sale yesterday. i'm not that organized but i have stopped shopping since Sofia was born. that was mostly because we now live on one income, but it's been good. in the past i would buy things that seemed good at the time, but not really needed, as evidenced by the yard sale and us giving things to Goodwill frequently.

LOL at Jane!

I love that website, Grace! I spent a long time reading many of the articles while I was at work. I hope I can learn to be more like those people. And by the way, I am actually interested in getting one of those tiny homes! HEHEHE. Thanks for sharing w/ me.
